Step-by-step login instructions: How to Log In to GW Passport

Forgot Username

For GW degree-seeking students, faculty, and staff: Your username is your GW NetID (the first part of your GW email address before the '@' symbol).

For non-GW users including non-degree students and international exchange students: Your username is the full email address that you used to create your application.

Forgot Password

For GW degree-seeking students, faculty, and staff: You can reset your password online here: https://identity.gwu.edu/claim/index

For non-GW users including non-degree students and international exchange students: Email oipadmin@gwu.edu to request a password reset.

Can't get past login screen

This is typically caused due to an issue with cookies in your web browser.

  1. Completely close out of your browser (all tabs) and then try again. Often, this will fix the issue.
  2. If step 1 doesn't fix it, try opening up an incognito/private window and then try again (instructions here).
  3. If step 2 temporarily fixed the problem, you can fix it permanently by clearing your cache/cookies in your web browser (instructions here).
